Tartuffe
Moliere was inspired by traveling medicine hucksters to write the show Tartuffe. Borrowing from this inspiration, I moved the play to a 1840's post civil war Medicine Show in Georgia. We added back in the entre-acte music that audiences would have expected in Moliere's time, although we used period music from 1840. We also gave Flipote and Laurent (usually non-speaking servants) a great deal more to do in the show.
